What is FoxPRISM? FoxPRISM is a tool to help you define and implement service management practices and processes. It is a way of documenting the ITIL 4 service value system and its constituent practices, along with the processes that are contained within the five ITIL 3 books (Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation and Continual Service Improvement). The content is represented in a way that is simple to use and makes it clear to all relevant staff how the practices and processes are to be used. It is a web-based system designed to be accessible via an organisation’s Intranet and is a valuable reference tool for all staff and as an induction tool for new recruits. It has particular advantages when used to help implement service management, where it can: Shorten the implementation time. Make more effective use of resources. Add value in the short, medium and long term. Provide a template upon which practice and process definitions can be based (not starting from “a blank sheet of paper”). Focus on key elements. Provide a baseline for a continual service improvement programme (CSIP). Provide a reference point for the documentation of all service management practices and processes and which is available for use by the entire organisation, thereby ensuring a consistent understanding and implementation. Fox IT® has been involved with ITIL® since its inception. Fox IT consultants have a wealth of practical experience in IT service management, and this knowledge has been captured in FoxPRISM.
